The Office of the District & Sessions Judge, Kamrup (M), Guwahati has released an official notification for the recruitment of 18 vacancies including Peon, Driver, and Process Server posts. Eligible and interested candidates from Assam may apply in the prescribed application format.
Note: An addendum has been published announcing 3 additional vacancies. Applications for these can also be submitted from 10th July to 24th July 2025.
Kamrup Metro Judiciary Recruitment 2025 – Vacancy Details
1. Peon
- No. of Posts: 12
(OBC-6, SC-3, ST(P)-1, ST(H)-1, UR-1) - Educational Qualification: Minimum qualification is Class VIII passed. Candidates who have passed HSSLC (12th) or above are not eligible.
- Pay Scale: ₹12,000 – ₹52,000 + GP ₹3,900
2. Driver
- No. of Posts: 2
(UR-1, ST(H)-1) - Educational Qualification: Must have passed Class X (HSLC) and possess a valid LMV driving license.
- Pay Scale: ₹14,000 – ₹70,000 + GP ₹5,200
3. Process Server
- No. of Posts: 4
(OBC-2, SC-1, UR-1) - Educational Qualification: Graduate in any discipline. Candidate must also have proficiency in Assamese, the official language of Assam.
- Pay Scale: ₹14,000 – ₹70,000 + GP ₹5,200
Eligibility Criteria
Nationality:
Applicants must be Indian citizens as per Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
Age Limit:
Not specifically mentioned. However, age relaxation will be applicable as per existing Government of Assam rules.

- Self-attested copies of educational certificates, age proof, caste certificate, and other supporting documents
