National Health Mission (NHM), Assam has released the official recruitment notification for 882 Community Health Officer (CHO) vacancies. The engagement will be contractual, and selected candidates will be posted at Sub Centres – Health & Wellness Centres across Assam.

Eligible candidates who have completed B.Sc. Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with an Integrated Certificate Course in Community Health are invited to apply online before the last date.

Eligibility Criteria for NHM Assam CHO Recruitment

Educational Qualification:

Candidates must fulfill the following criteria:

Passed B.Sc. Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with Integrated Certificate Course in Community Health or B.Sc. (Community Health).
Degree must be from an institution recognized by Indian Nursing Council or Assam Nurses Midwives’ & Health Visitors’ Council.
Must be a Registered Nurse Registered Midwife (RNRM) under Assam Nursing Council or DME, Assam.
Must submit a certificate from the Principal of their Nursing College confirming completion of the Integrated Certificate Course (Format provided in Appendix I).

Age Limit (as on 1st January 2025):

Maximum age: Less than 40 years

Age Relaxation:

SC/ST: 5 years
OBC/MOBC: 3 years
PWD: 10 years
