CGST & Customs Guwahati Recruitment 2025 – 11 Tax Assistant & Havaldar Posts

Central GST, Central Excise & Customs, Guwahati has released a recruitment notification for 11 posts of Tax Assistant and Havaldar under the Sports Quota. Interested and eligible candidates can apply before the last date.

Vacancy Details

1. Tax Assistant

No of Posts: 1 [UR]
Educational Qualification:
- Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of computer applications.
- Data entry speed of not less than 8000 key depressions per hour (to be tested on Electronic Data Processing machine).
Pay Scale (7th CPC): Level-4 (₹25,500 – ₹81,100)

2. Havaldar

No of Posts: 10 [UR: 9, OBC: 1]
Educational Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board.
Other Requirement: Must meet the prescribed physical standards and qualify in physical tests as per Recruitment Rules.
Pay Scale (7th CPC): Level-1 (₹18,000 – ₹56,900)

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality: Must be a citizen of India.
Age Limit: 18–27 years as on 13/09/2025.
- Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 10 years for SC/ST sportspersons.
Sports Qualification:
- Performance will be evaluated based on participation in recognized tournaments/events during 2020–2025.
- Only certificates issued by competent authorities will be considered valid.
